Survey Reveals IR Spending by Canadian Companies
A recent survey of corporate investor relations shows Canadian companies with
market capitalizations over $1 billion spend, on average, $1.4 million on investor
relations, almost double the amount they spent in 1996.
The same survey revealed companies with market caps of more than $500 million
but less than $1 billion spend $470,000 on IR, 21% more than in 1996, while companies
in the $100-$499 million market cap range spend slightly more -$485,000 annually.
Micro and small cap companies spend $257,000 annually, one and a half times
more than they spent in 1996.
